Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 47 development projects in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, this past Sunday.
The initiative represents a significant investment in the urban fabric of the state capital, aiming to modernize civic utilities and improve public infrastructure for residents.
These projects, undertaken by the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation, carry a total combined value of Rs 620 crore [1], [2]. The event took place in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
The development plan involves a mix of completed inaugurations and the laying of foundation stones for future works [1]. These 47 projects [1] are designed to enhance the municipal capabilities of the city through targeted civic infrastructure upgrades.
While some reports mentioned separate activities in other regions, the primary focus of this event remained the Gandhinagar municipal expansion [1]. The projects aim to streamline urban services and support the growing population of the administrative hub.
