Paris Hilton is confronting AI-generated explicit deepfake images of herself through a new TikTok investigative docuseries titled “Searching for Mr. Deepfakes.”
The effort highlights the growing threat of non-consensual AI imagery and the difficulty individuals face when attempting to remove synthetic content from the internet. By leveraging her platform, Hilton aims to build bipartisan support for the DEFIANCE Act to protect victims of digital exploitation.
Hilton said that more than 100,000 explicit fake photos of her exist online [1]. The 14-episode series [3] tracks the anonymous creators of these images and explores the infrastructure used to distribute them. This investigation follows the shutdown of the MrDeepFakes site in May 2025 [4].
Before its closure, the MrDeepFakes site accumulated 2.2 billion views [2]. The series identifies a pharmacist as the individual behind the site's operation. Hilton used the project to bring attention to the scale of the problem, noting that such exploitation is not limited to high-profile celebrities.
“It could happen to literally anyone,” Hilton said.
Beyond the social media series, Hilton has taken her advocacy to Capitol Hill. She has discussed the legal gaps that allow AI-generated explicit content to proliferate without sufficient recourse for victims. The goal of her outreach is to ensure the DEFIANCE Act provides a federal framework for accountability, and removal of such imagery.
“Searching for Mr. Deepfakes aims to track down the anonymous creators of these images,” Hilton said.

The intersection of generative AI and non-consensual explicit content creates a significant legal vacuum where traditional harassment laws often fail. By targeting the specific operators of deepfake empires and lobbying for the DEFIANCE Act, this initiative seeks to shift the burden of proof and removal from the victim to the creator and distributor of the synthetic media.
