"I have the impression that it is someone who stays close in a very complex sense," Matsumura said. "I feel that the human heart is not something that can be decided in black and white with a complete 100 and 0, and for me, that message — or what I received — was a great salvation."

The production team used the event to express their collective mourning for Higashino while preparing the public for the movie's debut. The film is scheduled to be released on Sept. 4 ^[2].
