Social-media influencer Alix Earle will premiere a new Netflix reality series titled "Earle Meets World" on Sept. 4, 2024 [1, 2].
The series marks a significant shift for Earle, who has built a massive following through curated short-form content. By moving to a long-form documentary format, she aims to provide a more transparent look at the conflicts and relationships that define her public persona.
The show consists of eight episodes [3] and will explore Earle's personal and professional life. Central to the narrative is the public fallout between Earle and Alex Cooper, the host of the "Call Her Daddy" podcast [1, 4]. The series also intends to address Earle's past relationship with NFL player Braxton Berrios [1, 3].
Earle said she wants to "pull back the curtain" on her life to address the drama surrounding her and Cooper [5, 6]. While her social media presence is vast, she said the public perception of her life is incomplete.
"I share a lot of my life on social media, and people think they know everything there is to know about me and my family, but honestly, there’s more I want to show," Earle said [7].
The production, managed by Netflix, will stream worldwide [1, 2]. The series focuses on the tension between the curated image of an influencer and the complexities of real-life interpersonal conflicts, specifically those involving other high-profile media personalities.
“"I share a lot of my life on social media... but honestly, there’s more I want to show."”
This series represents a strategic move by a top-tier Gen-Z influencer to transition from social media snippets to a structured streaming narrative. By centering the plot on a high-profile dispute with Alex Cooper, Netflix is leveraging existing internet drama to drive viewership, while Earle attempts to control her own narrative away from the constraints of TikTok and Instagram.
