We use no third-party trackers — no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no advertising SDKs. Site analytics run on a self-hosted Umami instance; no cookies are set for reading.

Newsletter subscribers supply only an email address, stored in SQLite and used solely to deliver issues. Delete your data any time by emailing privacy@hanna.local.

Comment authors may supply an optional email — it is hashed before storage (SHA-256) and used only to render a gravatar. The raw email is discarded.

All our backing services (Postgres, Redis, Meilisearch, Umami, Mailpit, SearXNG, Ollama) are self-hosted. No data leaves the operator's infrastructure.
