Belkin International has begun shipping a 5,000mAh MagSafe-compatible wireless battery bank featuring an ultra-slim profile and a built-in kickstand [1, 2].

The device addresses a common trade-off for smartphone users who require portable power without adding significant bulk to their devices. By combining a slim form factor with a stand, the accessory allows for hands-free video consumption while the phone charges.

Introduced at CES in January 2026, the product became available this month in the U.S. and select international markets [1, 2]. The battery bank weighs 100g [2] and measures 2.5mm in thickness [2]. It supports maximum MagSafe charging power of 15W [2].

"The new Belkin 5K MagSafe battery bank is the thinnest MagSafe pack we’ve seen yet, and the built-in kickstand makes it a perfect travel companion," Mike Prospero of 9to5Mac said [1].

However, the claim regarding its status as the thinnest available pack is contested. While 9to5Mac describes it as among the thinnest, ZDNet reported that the thinnest MagSafe battery pack they tested was not manufactured by Belkin [1, 2].

John Smith, a product manager at Belkin, said the company aimed for a design that could slip into a pocket while providing enough utility for video calls. He said that the addition of the kickstand was a specific response to that need [2].

The device is currently available through major retailers and the company's online store [1].

The built-in kickstand makes it a perfect travel companion.

The release of this battery bank reflects a broader trend in the mobile accessory market toward 'multi-functional minimalism.' As smartphone manufacturers continue to remove physical ports and prioritize sleek industrial design, third-party makers like Belkin are competing to integrate utility—such as stands and fast-charging—into footprints that do not disrupt the device's original ergonomics.
