BYD has launched the Song Pro Flex, a plug-in hybrid SUV capable of running on gasoline and ethanol in Brazil [1, 2].

The SUV features a 1.5 L engine with a thermal efficiency of 46.06% [1]. This powertrain delivers a combined power output of 219 cv [1]. According to company specifications, the Song Pro Flex can achieve a maximum autonomy of 1,105 km [1].
BYD is offering the vehicle in two primary versions. The GL version is priced at R$176,990 [5], while the GS version is priced at R$199,990 [4]. Additionally, the company produced a limited-edition run of 30 cars for COP30 [7].
Alexandre Baldy, Vice-President Senior of BYD Brazil, represented the company during promotional activities in Sertãozinho, near Ribeirão Preto [1]. The strategy focuses on expanding the brand's portfolio to strengthen its market presence against traditional automakers in the region [2, 3].
