The scale of the missing is significant. A total of 384 travellers are reported missing [3]. This figure includes 291 foreign nationals and 93 Nepali nationals [3]. Specifically, three Americans are among those missing [3].
Rescue teams are navigating treacherous terrain to reach the affected areas of the Rasuwa district. The debris flow buried entire structures, making the search for survivors difficult, a process complicated by the remote location of the port.
