Chrysler will introduce two compact SUVs, the Arrow and Arrow Cross, with price points set under $30,000 [1].
This move represents a strategic shift for Stellantis as it attempts to capture the budget-friendly SUV market in the U.S. By utilizing existing platforms from its Italian subsidiary, the company can accelerate its product rollout while reducing development costs.
The announcement came during the Stellantis Investor Day in June 2026 [2]. The company said the Arrow and Arrow Cross are rebadged versions of the latest compact SUVs from Fiat, referred to as the Fiat Grizzlies [1, 3].
These two models are part of a larger corporate initiative to overhaul the North American showroom. Stellantis plans to introduce 11 new nameplates [4] and 12 refreshed models [4] by 2030 to modernize its fleet and attract a wider range of buyers.
The decision to rebadge the Fiat Grizzly models allows Chrysler to quickly expand its sub-$30,000 lineup [1]. This strategy aligns with the broader goal of updating the entire U.S. showroom within the next four years [4].
By leveraging the Fiat platform, Stellantis avoids the high costs of developing a new chassis from the ground up. The Arrow and Arrow Cross will serve as the entry-level offerings for the Chrysler brand, targeting consumers who prioritize affordability in the compact crossover segment.
“Chrysler will introduce two compact SUVs, the Arrow and Arrow Cross, with price points set under $30,000.”
The use of rebadged Fiat models indicates that Stellantis is prioritizing speed-to-market and cost efficiency over unique brand engineering for its entry-level U.S. offerings. By filling the sub-$30,000 gap, Chrysler is attempting to regain a foothold in a competitive segment where affordable compact SUVs are increasingly rare.
