FIC Partners Management, LP said Thursday that it has acquired Perfect Power LLC, a U.S. power platform [1].
The acquisition gives FIC control over the Jaguar Energy Center, a grid-interconnected battery energy storage and solar platform. This move allows FIC to operate critical infrastructure designed to stabilize the power grid and integrate renewable energy sources into the national electricity supply.
FIC Partners Management, LP said that it has acquired Perfect Power LLC [1]. The company being acquired serves as the developer, owner, and operator of the Jaguar Energy Center [1]. This facility functions as a combined solar platform, battery storage system, and is connected directly to the electrical grid [1].
According to industry data, the platform includes a pipeline of up to one gigawatt [2]. The deal involves assets and operations based in Houston and Charlotte, N.C. [1].
By absorbing the Jaguar Energy Center, FIC gains a foothold in the growing sector of utility-scale energy storage. These systems are essential for managing the intermittent nature of solar power—storing energy during peak production and releasing it when demand rises.
FIC said the acquisition is part of its strategy to manage and operate a grid-interconnected battery energy storage and solar platform [1].
“FIC Partners Management, LP today announced that it has acquired Perfect Power LLC”
This acquisition signals a strategic shift toward utility-scale energy storage and solar integration. By acquiring a platform with a one-gigawatt pipeline, FIC is positioning itself to capitalize on the transition to renewable energy, where battery storage is the primary solution for grid stability and the mitigation of solar power intermittency.
