According to a notification sent to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on July 30, 2026 [3], the issue stems from a production change designed to speed up the assembly process. This adjustment reduced the cure time for the adhesive used to secure the rear window trim [5]. Because the glue did not have sufficient time to dry, the trim is insufficiently bonded to the vehicle [1].
