Humayun Kabir, founder of the Aam Janata Unnayan Party (AJUP), said he is 100% [1] confident of winning the West Bengal 2026 election.

This expression of certainty comes as the region enters the critical counting phase, where the results will determine the legislative balance of power in the state.

Kabir spoke regarding the operational readiness of the counting centers. He said the Election Commission has made arrangements for counting in Baharampur for five seats. He said the arrangements are good and everything should go smoothly [1].

"I am 100 per cent confident of win," Kabir said [1].

The political atmosphere in the state follows a period of high civic engagement. Voter turnout in West Bengal Phase 1 reached 91.58% [2], a figure that underscores the intensity of the current electoral cycle.

Kabir believes the administrative preparations by the Election Commission will ensure a transparent and efficient process. By focusing on the Baharampur center, the AJUP leader signaled that the logistical success of the count is a prerequisite for the legitimacy of the outcome.

"The Election Commission has made arrangements for counting in Baharampur for five seats, the arrangements are good. Everything should go smoothly," Kabir said [1].

"I am 100 per cent confident of win."

The high confidence expressed by the AJUP founder, coupled with a significant voter turnout of over 91% [2], suggests a highly polarized and engaged electorate. While Kabir focuses on the efficiency of the Election Commission's counting arrangements in Baharampur, the ultimate impact of the AJUP will depend on whether this confidence translates into a plurality of votes across the five contested seats.
