Secretary Rubio began a four-day visit to India [1], arriving in Kolkata on Saturday, May 23, 2024 [2]. Following his arrival, Rubio traveled to New Delhi for high-level strategic discussions with Prime Minister Modi and Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.
During the meetings, the leaders addressed a wide array of critical issues, including regional and global peace, security, energy, and trade. The discussions focused on the continued momentum of the bilateral partnership and its role in maintaining Indo-Pacific stability.
