Actress Jessica Biel is returning to the big screen in the upcoming production “Matchbox: The Movie,” featuring specialized car-stunt sequences.
Biel's return marks a significant shift in her career trajectory, as the project represents her first feature film in nine years [2]. The role allows her to transition from a long hiatus back into high-action cinema.
Speaking at the San Diego Comic-Con convention in Hall H on July 25, 2024 [1, 4], Biel described her experience working with the production's unique props. She said the hands-on experience of driving real Matchbox-brand miniature cars on set was a “blast” and provided a fresh challenge.
“I’m really excited about the car stunts in Matchbox – it’s been a blast to actually drive the tiny cars on set,” Biel said [1].
Biel, 44 [3], noted that the physical nature of the production helped her reconnect with the joy of filmmaking. She said the action with the real Matchbox cars made the project feel like a kid-like adventure [1].
