Jodie Sweetin said Tuesday that she and her husband, Mescal Wasilewski, sleep in two twin beds pushed together with separate duvets [1, 2].

The disclosure highlights the small domestic adjustments couples make to maintain harmony in long-term relationships. Sweetin shared the detail during an appearance on the “Good Guys” podcast on Aug. 25 [1, 2].

Sweetin said the arrangement creates a king-sized sleeping area while ensuring neither partner steals the bedding. This setup is intended to eliminate the common friction of fighting over a single blanket during the night [1, 2].

"We have two twin beds pushed up against together in a king-sized thing with two separate duvets," Sweetin said. "That is key because you’re not fighting over the blanket. I’m telling you, that is the smallest, biggest difference" [1, 2].

The couple has been married for four years [2]. During the podcast interview, Sweetin also mentioned her daughter, Zoie, who is 18 [1].

By utilizing separate covers, Sweetin said the couple avoids the disputes that often arise in shared beds. She described the change as a significant factor in their marital peace [1, 2].

"That is key because you’re not fighting over the blanket."

Sweetin's comments reflect a growing public conversation around 'sleep divorces' or modified sleeping arrangements. While not a full separation, the use of separate beds or blankets is often used as a tool to prioritize individual sleep quality to improve overall relationship health.
