The event is scheduled for Aug. 1, 2026 [1] at the Constitution Club in New Delhi [2]. Kejriwal intends to use the gathering to present a petition demanding that the E20 fuel policy be withdrawn, or made optional for consumers [1].
Kejriwal linked the current campaign to previous political victories, specifically the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. "When the youth of the country united and raised their voice, Dharmendra Pradhan had to resign," Kejriwal said. "We will also have to unite and raise our voice against E20" [3].
Support for the movement has grown through digital channels. An online petition seeking to make E20 fuel optional has already garnered more than 200,000 signatures [4]. While some reports indicate the petition will be used for public discussion, other accounts suggest Kejriwal intends to deliver the signatures directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi [5, 6].
The AAP is positioning the E20 policy as a point of contention for vehicle owners and transporters across the country. By organizing a centralized townhall, the party aims to transform online momentum into a physical demonstration of dissent.
