Miami city officials and FIFA have launched an official Fan Zone in Bayfront Park ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
This installation serves as a primary gathering hub for international football supporters, designed to amplify the tournament's reach within the U.S. by providing a centralized location for public viewing and cultural exchange.
The Fan Festival occupies more than 436,000 square feet of the downtown park [1]. This expansive area is designed to accommodate thousands of visitors through a mix of interactive activities, entertainment, and cultural events. The site transforms the urban landscape into a dedicated sports precinct to promote the spirit of the global competition.
Central to the experience is a giant screen that will broadcast all 104 matches of the World Cup [2]. By providing a high-capacity viewing area, officials aim to create a stadium-like atmosphere for those unable to attend the games in person.
The fan zone is scheduled to operate for 23 days [1]. During this period, the site will function as a focal point for the city's tourism and sports infrastructure, leveraging Miami's position as a key host city for the event.
City officials said the project is intended to welcome fans from around the world. The integration of live screenings and interactive zones is meant to ensure that the excitement of the tournament extends beyond the stadium walls and into the heart of the city.

The establishment of a massive, official fan hub in Miami reflects FIFA's strategy to maximize commercial and social engagement during the 2026 tournament. By centralizing thousands of fans in a high-visibility downtown area, the city can drive significant local economic activity while managing the crowds that typically accompany the world's most-watched sporting event.
