The Noida Authority is planning a new 10-lane [1] Delhi-Jewar corridor to improve connectivity before the launch of the Noida International Airport.
This infrastructure project aims to mitigate traffic congestion on the existing Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. By creating a dedicated bypass, the government intends to streamline the flow of passengers and cargo moving toward the new aviation hub.
The planned corridor will begin at Sector 94 in Noida [1]. From there, it will extend toward Gharbara village in Greater Noida [1], where the road will merge with the Yamuna Expressway [1].
Officials said the project is designed to ease the burden on current transit routes. The 10-lane [1] design is intended to handle the projected increase in vehicle volume that typically accompanies the opening of a major international airport.
By linking Sector 94 [1] directly to the Yamuna Expressway via Gharbara village [1], the corridor creates a high-capacity alternative for commuters. This route is expected to reduce the bottlenecks currently experienced on the primary expressways serving the region.
“The Noida Authority is planning a new 10-lane Delhi-Jewar corridor”
The development of a high-capacity corridor indicates that the Noida Authority anticipates significant traffic surges that the current expressway system cannot support. By integrating the bypass with the Yamuna Expressway, the region is attempting to create a multimodal transit network capable of supporting the economic growth and logistics demands of the upcoming Noida International Airport.
