Nongshim Co., Ltd. said cumulative sales for its Shin Ramyun brand have exceeded 20 trillion won [1].
The milestone reflects the growing global demand for Korean noodles and sets the stage for the company's aggressive expansion into Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
According to company data as of the end of 2025, the brand has sold 425 billion packs [1]. This volume underscores the product's dominance in the instant noodle market, with overseas sales now accounting for approximately 40% of the total cumulative sales [1].
To capitalize on this momentum, Nongshim will establish a sales subsidiary in Moscow next month, in June 2026 [2]. The new office will serve as a strategic hub to target the European and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) markets [2].
This move expands the company's existing global infrastructure. Nongshim currently operates production facilities in Los Angeles in the U.S., and three locations in China: Shanghai, Qingdao, and Xianyang [1].
The company said the Moscow office is intended to streamline distribution and increase the availability of its products across the region [2]. By establishing a direct presence in Russia, the company aims to leverage the high demand for K-food in neighboring territories.
“Cumulative sales for its Shin Ramyun brand have exceeded 20 trillion won”
Nongshim's expansion into Moscow indicates a strategic shift toward diversifying its revenue streams beyond the U.S. and Chinese markets. By establishing a foothold in the CIS region, the company is attempting to institutionalize its distribution network in Eurasia to sustain the growth trajectory seen in its 2025 cumulative sales figures.
