Nubia announced the Redmagic 11S Pro, a flagship Android gaming phone featuring liquid cooling and an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version chip [1, 2].
The device targets the high-end gaming market by combining extreme processing power with thermal management to prevent performance drops during intense use [1, 2].
To maintain stability, the phone utilizes a specialized cooling system with a fan reaching speeds of 24,000 RPM [4]. This hardware is designed to support the over-clocked processor, allowing the device to sustain higher speeds without overheating, a common hurdle for mobile gaming hardware.
The Redmagic 11S Pro includes a 144 Hz display [1, 5] and an under-display camera to provide an uninterrupted viewing experience. Powering the device is a 7,500 mAh battery [1, 3], which is significantly larger than standard flagship phones. For recharging, the phone supports 80 W fast charging via both wired and wireless methods [3].
The international launch includes a specific rollout in China [1, 6]. While the device offers upgraded specifications, it comes with a higher price point, costing $100 more than the previous model [2].
Nubia said the goal of the new hardware is to deliver better gaming performance by keeping the device cool while providing higher processing power [1, 2].
“The Redmagic 11S Pro features an over-clocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version chip.”
The launch of the Redmagic 11S Pro signals a shift toward specialized hardware in the Android ecosystem, where thermal management is becoming as critical as raw CPU speed. By integrating liquid cooling and high-RPM fans, Nubia is attempting to bridge the gap between mobile handsets and portable gaming consoles, though the $100 price increase may test consumer willingness to pay for these niche performance gains.
