NVIDIA Corp. unveiled a new AI-focused PC chip suite featuring the RTX Spark GPU and the Vera CPU on May 31, 2026 [1].
This development marks a significant shift in personal computing by enabling complex AI agents to run locally on hardware. By reducing reliance on cloud-based processing, the technology allows users to execute generative workloads directly on their devices with greater privacy and speed.
CEO Jensen Huang introduced the hardware during the Computex technology conference in Taipei, Taiwan [3]. The combination of the RTX Spark and Vera CPU is described as a "superchip" designed for laptops and desktops [2, 5].

A Microsoft spokesperson said the RTX Spark and Vera CPU together form a superchip that lets Windows laptops run highly capable AI models locally [2].

NVIDIA's entry into the CPU market represents a direct challenge to the long-standing x86 dominance of Intel and AMD.
