Speaker Faustino "Bojie" G. Dy III vowed a transparent and reform-oriented review of the proposed 2027 [1] national budget.

In a statement made on Friday, July 31 [2], Dy said the legislative body would prioritize accountability. The Speaker said the House intends to build upon the existing framework of transparency established in previous cycles to ensure government spending aligns with public needs.
"We will build on the reforms and transparency measures introduced last year to ensure that the 2027 [1] national budget is responsive, accountable, and focused on the needs of the Filipino people," Dy said.
