Singapore's Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) is launching a refreshed interface for the Singapore Arrival Card (SGAC) to simplify the submission process [1].

Starting Aug. 26, 2024 [1], the refreshed interface will be available on the ICA website. A primary feature of the update is the introduction of a passport-scan autofill function [1], [3]. This tool allows travelers to scan their travel documents to automatically populate required fields, reducing the need for manual typing [1], [3].
To accommodate a diverse range of global visitors, the ICA is expanding the accessibility of the form. The new interface will support 19 language options [1], [4]. By providing these multilingual choices, the authority intends to ensure that travelers can navigate the legal requirements of entry with greater clarity [1], [2].
Travelers are required to submit the SG Arrival Card before arriving in Singapore. The ICA said the goal of these specific technical enhancements is to optimize the user experience on the official government portal [1], [5].
The deployment of the new system on Aug. 26, 2024 [1], replaces the previous version of the digital form. The ICA said the core requirements of the arrival card have not changed, only the method by which the information is collected and submitted [1], [3].
