"We are dropping Parandur airport," Vijay said. "I stand firm with the protesters against the proposed airport."
The Chief Minister emphasized his alignment with the community during the announcement. "I stand with protesters," he said, signaling a shift toward a more consultative approach for future infrastructure developments.
The government intends to identify a new location that minimizes social and environmental disruption. While the specific criteria for the alternative site have not been detailed, the move aims to resolve the long-standing deadlock between state development goals and local land rights.
