Therme Group has begun construction on a $1 billion [1] integrated wellness attraction in Singapore's Marina South district.
The project marks the development of Asia’s first large-scale integrated well-being destination [1]. It aims to address the growing regional demand for wellness tourism by combining leisure, health treatments, and hospitality in a single urban waterfront location.
The facility will span seven stories [2] and cover a total floor area of 720,000 square feet [1]. According to the developers, the complex will feature more than 20 pools [1], water slides, and saunas to provide a comprehensive leisure experience.
In addition to the aquatic attractions, the site will house 70 treatment rooms [1] and various food and beverage outlets. The scale of the project is designed to create a multifaceted destination for both local residents and international visitors.
Construction officially commenced during a groundbreaking ceremony held on June 19, 2024 [2]. The operator said the scheduled opening date is 2030 [2].
The Marina South location places the attraction within a strategic urban waterfront district, aligning the project with Singapore's broader efforts to develop its waterfront areas into hubs for tourism and recreation.
