The Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science will implement a series of sweeping education reforms starting Sept. 1 [1, 2].

A primary pillar of the reform is the introduction of free hot meals for all schoolchildren. This initiative is expected to benefit over three million students across the country [1].
Early childhood education will also see a shift in curriculum. The ministry said English lessons are mandatory in kindergartens, with a requirement of 4.5 hours of instruction per week [2].
