Ukrhydrometcenter and regional centers in Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and the Kyiv region are monitoring the situation. In some regions, maximum temperatures are expected to reach 38 °C [1]. While the heat wave is beginning to recede, the transition is creating unstable conditions across western, northern, and parts of central Ukrainian oblasts.
In the Kyiv region, officials said rain and thunderstorms are forecast, noting that some areas may experience hail and squalls with wind gusts of 15-20 m/s [2]. The Chernivtsi regional hydrometeorological center said variable cloudiness is expected for its area, with a short-term rain shower during the day and more significant precipitation in the second half of the day.
Weather conditions vary significantly by region. The hydrometeorological center for the Dnipropetrovsk region said that its area is expected to have light cloudiness and no precipitation. This contrasts with reports from other regions where powerful downpours are anticipated.

These localized events—including hail and strong winds—are typical of the instability associated with high-temperature peaks before a cooling trend takes hold.
