Strategy Inc. has increased its cash reserves to $3 billion and continues to accumulate Bitcoin as it transitions into a digital-capital platform [1].
The move signals a deepening commitment to cryptocurrency by one of the largest corporate holders of the asset. By pivoting from a pure Bitcoin-treasury firm to a broader platform, Strategy Inc. is attempting to institutionalize digital capital management on a global scale.
Phong Le, president and CEO of Strategy Inc., said the company remains a long-term buyer during a recent interview on Bloomberg Television's 'The Close' [1]. Le said the company now holds more than 840,000 BTC in its treasury [1]. This figure represents a significant increase over previous reports of 713,502 BTC accumulated through $25.3 billion raised in 2025 [4].
Other reports estimate the total value of these Bitcoin holdings at approximately $58 billion [5].
Despite the long-term outlook, the company implemented a temporary halt on Bitcoin sales from July 6 to July 12 [1]. Le said the company's conviction in the asset has been foundational to its stability. "Our belief in Bitcoin has helped us survive multiple near-death experiences," Le said [2].
Le said the shift toward becoming a digital-capital platform is driven by the asset's long-term value proposition. "We’re buyers of Bitcoin for the long term," Le said [1].
This strategic evolution follows a period of aggressive acquisition. The company's treasury growth reflects a broader trend of corporate entities treating Bitcoin as a primary reserve asset rather than a speculative investment [4].
“"We’re buyers of Bitcoin for the long term."”
Strategy Inc.'s transition to a 'digital-capital platform' suggests a shift in corporate identity from a passive holder of Bitcoin to an active infrastructure provider for digital assets. By maintaining massive cash reserves alongside a treasury of over 840,000 BTC, the firm is positioning itself to navigate volatility while signaling to institutional investors that Bitcoin is a viable permanent treasury reserve.
